My goal as Artistic Director is to create a space where artists of all ages feel supported, inspired, and empowered to tell their stories.

I believe that theatre has the power to bring people together, spark conversations and ideas, and that those involved can discover and grow valuable skills that will help them throughout life. I’m committed to fostering that here at Birchwood.

With over 20 years of experience in the performing arts, I’ve had the privilege of working as a director, performer, and arts leader in Maryland, Washington, D.C., New York, Atlanta, and now here in Texas. Since coming to Texas, I’ve performed onstage with River City Pops, VIBE ATX, the Georgetown Palace Theatre, and here at Birchwood. Behind the scenes, I’ve served on the River City Pops Board, actively work with the Heller Awards for Young Audiences, and have directed a variety of productions, including Birchwood’s recent production of Hadestown: Teen Edition.

I’m passionate about nurturing new talent, championing work that will help those involved grow as performers and individuals, and building a welcoming space where everyone can experience the power of live theatre.
