High School Musical
What happens when the jock and the new girl both want more than what everyone expects of them?
Two students. One winter break karaoke duet. A high school about to be turned upside down.
When basketball team captain Troy Bolton and brilliant new student Gabriella Montez discover they can't stop singing together, they decide to audition for the school musical — a decision that sends East High's rigid social order into chaos. Jocks aren't supposed to sing. Brainiacs aren't supposed to dance. And reigning drama queen Sharpay Evans definitely isn't supposed to share the stage. But as rehearsals pull together kids from every clique, Troy, Gabriella, and their friends discover that being true to yourself might be the bravest role of all.
Heartfelt, hilarious, and packed with unforgettable sing-along anthems, High School Musical is a joyful celebration of friendship, courage, and finding out you're capable of a whole lot more than anyone — including yourself — expected.
