Makeup Classes
Life happens — we get it. If you need to miss a class, here's how makeups work:
Email us at info@birchwoodmusic.com at least 24 hours before the class you need to cancel
Let us know your preferred class day/time for the makeup, we will schedule you into that class space permitting
Makeups are valid for 6 months from the date of the missed class
Makeups are one of the perks of membership — use them as needed!
Consistent attendance is the biggest factor in your child's musical development, so we want to make it as easy as possible to keep showing up.

-
Music Together® is designed for children ages 0–5 and the grownups who love them.
Classes are mixed-age by design, so babies, toddlers, and preschoolers are all welcome in the same class.
Siblings attend together at the sibling rate.
-
We ask that grownups participate!
Music Together® is built on the research that children learn music (and everything else) by watching the people they love most.
When you sing and move with your child, you become their most powerful music teacher.
Don't worry, Allison makes it easy and fun, even for the most reluctant grown-ups.
-
Totally normal, especially in the first few weeks.
Some children need time to observe before they jump in, and they're absorbing everything even when it looks like they're not engaged.
Many families report their child singing the songs at home before they sing them in class.
Trust the process!
-
Absolutely!
Any loving caregiver is welcome.
Music Together® works best when the adults in a child's life are involved, so bring grandma, grandpa, or your nanny.
The more the merrier.

Yes! Siblings are $50/month per child after the first, and children under 6 months attend free.
We want the whole family to be part of the experience without breaking the budget.
-
Perfect — you're exactly who Music Together® is designed for.
You don't need to be able to carry a tune or read music. You just need to show up and be willing to try.
Your child doesn't care if you're pitchy. They care that you're there with them.
-
Yes! Music Together® collections are non-sequential, so there's no content you'll have "missed,” every song and activity stands on its own.
That said, families who've been with us since the start of the session will already know some of the songs and have settled into the rhythm of class.
New families typically need a class or two to find their footing, and that's completely normal.
Most kids are singing along by week two.
We always recommend joining at the start of a new session if you can, but mid-season spots are available when they open up, just reach out and we'll let you know what's coming up.
-
Yes. We never want cost to be the reason a family misses out on this experience.
Discounts are available for teachers, healthcare workers, and military families.
Additional tuition assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.
Just reach out, no judgment, just help.
